How the generator works
A prompt generator is a form that turns a job description into a structured brief an AI tool can follow. aipromptsonline.com asks for the model, the category, a style, and the outcome you want. It then writes a prompt with a role, steps, and an output contract so the first answer is usable instead of vague.
People lose time rewriting the same instructions: “be specific,” “use my brand voice,” “don’t invent numbers.” Those rules belong in the prompt, not in a follow-up after a weak draft. This generator puts them in once. You can still edit the result. The point is to start from a complete brief.
Text models such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini get instruction prompts: audience, constraint, process, format. Image models such as Midjourney, DALL·E, and Stable Diffusion get subject, light, composition, and negatives. Video tools (Sora, Runway, Pika) get shot type, duration, and continuity notes. Suno gets genre, structure, and vocal direction. The same form; different prompt shapes.
Use this when you know the job but not the wording. Examples: a five-email sequence, a white packshot, a 6-second establishing shot, a SQL-to-insight memo. If you already have a draft, use the prompt enhancer instead. If you want a spark from the library, try random prompt.
The page is server-rendered so search engines can read this explanation without running JavaScript. The form is a client island: validation, React Query, a loading skeleton, and error toasts. Keyboard users can tab through every control. Touch targets are at least 44 pixels tall.
Rate limits protect the API: 8 AI generations per minute per IP (15 total API calls/min). Zod validates slugs and string lengths before any model call. If OpenAI is not configured, you still get a catalog-based prompt filled with your goal. When Postgres is configured, successful generations can be stored as generated_pages rows. Those pages follow the individual template in content/SEO_BIBLE.md and do not create images.
Good inputs are concrete. “Write marketing copy” is weak. “Write a homepage hero for a payroll app used by 20-person restaurants, no slang, one CTA” is strong. Name the audience, the artifact, and one constraint. The generator will add role and steps around that core.
After you copy the prompt, run it, then paste one real example from your work and run again. Few-shot context is still the highest-leverage extra. Keep a swipe file of outputs that shipped. That file is more valuable than a larger library of unused prompts.
